The uniqueness of the group lies in its ability to repeat an event in different periods of a relatively short but eventful existence. One thing, however, that remains constant with DEAD ROOSTER is exciting, creative music that expresses and complements beautiful, contemporary, Ukrainian poetry. One rainy, autumn day in the haze of Lviv cafes, where awakened and restless "bohemian" scenes (consisting of artists, writers, musicians, engineers, curious coffee sleds, etc.) often take place. Several students of different ages decided to form a band. Initially playing underground gigs (literally and figuratively) and street festivals, the band soon gained fans and were forced to rise to a larger stage. The musical group "dead beer" is a pleasure to listen to, for fans of their talent, there is so much expression and charisma in their songs. A performance at the 1991 Chervona Ruta II Music Festival in Zaporozhye, Ukraine in 1991 identified the group as rock stars across the country. At this festival, DEAD ROOSTER won first prize from over a hundred groups for its acoustic, ethnic interpretation of contemporary Ukrainian poetry. At the moment, the group consisted of two vocalists, two guitarists, one violinist, one flutist and all who participated in various percussion instrumental compositions. Soon after the festival DEAD ROOSTER returned to Lviv to record their first album ETO and shoot a video for their hit Dog No. 1. They toured extensively in support of this album. Taking a new approach to music and poetry, DEAD ROOSTER has shifted its lineup to reflect a more electric sound. Their new sound, a mixture of blues, soul and rock, instantly hit the fan base for their more energetic live performances. In 1993, the band recorded their second album, DEAD ROOSTER 93. Many of the songs on this album reflect the band's unique sense of humor. They toured with their new lineup, participating in numerous major festivals, including Ukrainian Youth for Christ and Musicians Against Drugs and Alcohol, as well as Maria 93, which is still often shown on Ukrainian national television. Fans of the musical collective of the group "Dead Beer" perceive the songs, without exception, as vital for themselves and thus stimulate the group to the next achievements. In 1994, DEAD ROOSTER, the group changed its lineup again. They replaced the bassist and drummer to sound louder, harder. In 1994 they recorded their third album, Underground Zoo. A free theme based on the poetry of the famous modern Ukrainian poet Yuri Andrukhovych has been added to the songs on the album. They debuted with a new album and the sound "carnival of noise" from a show at the Lviv circus. This show was followed by a tour of Poland and Germany, highlighted by a performance at the Independence Day festival in Berlin. DEAD ROOSTER members, like all great musicians, are always looking for new things in music and do not allow themselves to become predictable and boring. What sound will they come up with next? Who knows? One thing is certain that their listeners will always be intrigued. Good advice to all new fans of the group "dead beer" you can always download their compositions on the official website of the group.
